The Secret of Everlasting Life

Why is it that they make computer screens with a stand designed for midgets!? I wonder if there is anyone working either from home or at work, that doesn’t have something propped under their computer screen to lift it to height that actually makes it eye level!? Rather funny when you think about it lol

Well anyway, I have three books stashed underneath my computer screen to keep it at a level that I’m not haunching my shoulders and crouching down to see the screen comfortably – and one of these books that stares back at me every day, is a book entitled “The Secret of Everlasting Life.”

I have to admit that I have never read this book – it’s one of those that was sold on some book sale for under R100 and one that, you know, “I’ll definitely get around to reading this book, it looks good” kind of thing.

Anyway, setting all that context, as I looked at this book this morning, I thought, actually – what is the secret to everlasting life? Through my experience, we all are everlasting life. We are beautiful, magnificent spirit beings, who glow with life whether we’re here on the earth, or in the spirit world. Our spirits are everlasting – they have evolved from a time when life in the spirit world was rather different to how it is today. Prior to it becoming necessary that our spirits take on a human form, we lived in perfect harmony within the spirit world with direct contact to our Creator through our spirit guides, spirit helpers, the angels and Lords of Karma. Now I know that you’re already asking yourself, why would there be lords of karma, if we weren’t yet living on the earth – I don’t really know, but it’s a subject I’m very willing to explore with my Spirit Guide.

There has been so much written and research done around the secret to everlasting life. And from this perspective, it is always around how to live this current life that you are living – much longer. So do you want to live to be 100 or 200 or maybe 300? What a thought indeed! Of course from a scientific and medical perspective, already people are living longer. There was a time when if you lived to be 40 or 50, you were old, you had done your innings and time for check-out was around about that time.

Of course, looking at lifestyles as well as lack of medical knowledge and availability of medical treatment, also contributed to a shorter-lived life. Now that we have access to global medical care and knowledge, with great advancement being made in developing vaccines and treatment medication for all sorts of ailments, illnesses and diseases that we didn’t even know existed 50 years ago, people are able to live longer, healthier lives.

But, is that all that there is to living an everlasting life? Surely there has to be more? And for me, it’s so much more around understanding that you soul has been and always will be, in the process of an eternal progression towards perfection. And to what degree does it matter then, that you can live to be 100 or 120? I think it does and the reason I say this is : given the opportunity to stay healthy for much longer than say 50 years ago, also affords us much more time within this particular human existence, to ‘get it right.’ To live our life in deep connection to each other, to focus on the evolution of our souls, we’re given just that much more time to achieve our goals, both from a material perspective and a spiritual perspective. And we know that to live the two concurrently – focusing in equal parts on the spiritual and material aspects of our life, will yield much more when we do finally return to spirit.

I am of the firm opinion that it is essential that we return to spirit at some time, no matter how many physical years we’ve managed to live in one particular lifetime. Going back to spirit, is a kind of gathering of the clans.

We all live in soul or family groups and so within our contracts, the place for reconnecting with each other and reviewing our contracts, is the spirit world. And each of us returns at our chosen or allotted time, yes. But, we wait for everyone in our clan or soul or family group – whatever you want to call it – to return too. In this way, we are given the opportunity by the Lords of Karma, our Spirit Helpers, and our Spirit Guides, to review our lives in absolute full. To have the opportunity to meet with those with whom we contracted to come into this lifetime, and to completely and fully understand the impact of our lives –on our own soul as well as on the souls of those in our contracts.

So for me, the secret to an everlasting life, is to live your life as best you possibly can. Be the decent kind human that reflects the beauty, purity and perfection of your soul – that’s it!
