Imagine for a moment that you are living a life where you have no financial worries, where you absolutely love your house and don’t ever want to move, where all your needs are met and essentially you have absolutely everything that you want.

In this world in which you live, which of course is your imagined world inside your head, your imagined life, think about what would you be doing? In other words, in living your perfect life, would you feel like you are living the life that you were meant to live IE fulfilling your true purpose. I’m very sure that most of you can imagine yourself in this kind of life, knowing without shadow of doubt that you are living out your true purpose.
My question then to you is this: how is it that you have to take yourself into your head, into an imaginary space, for you to feel like you are living your purpose? I understand that your reality is probably very different. So yes you have financial worries, yes you probably don’t live exactly where you would want to be living right now, and you’re finding it very hard to have all your needs fulfilled. Life is tough I understand that. And I’m not saying that our lives should not be filled with ups and downs, bumps in the road, challenges that rise up sometimes like a brick wall in front of us. Is it not all about acceptance? Here I’m talking about accepting that this life that you are living in right now, is exactly as it is. That is not to say that there is nothing that you can do to change it. Of course, when you allow yourself the opportunity to understand that it is possible for you to make changes in your life to bring about everything that you want, then of course you could be making your life different.
A question that probably every single person who comes to see me asks, is am I fulfilling my life purpose? What is my life purpose?
The answer to this question is not some mind blowing, mystical answer. But rather that you just being here are living your life’s purpose. Purpose and meaning means something different to everyone, everyone will have a different interpretation of what purpose and meaning is. However you can give purpose and meaning to anything that you do in your life. You can find purpose in looking after your children, in working and earning the salary that you do, in cooking a beautiful dinner for your family, in driving your children to school. You can find purpose in washing the dishes and cleaning your house.
For me I think it’s all about understanding that you have come into this life to live it as it was meant to be. And understanding how the universe works, then you know that everything is exactly as it should be. There is nothing that is out of place. There is nothing happening that should not be happening. And by that I mean, that every experience that you go through, is a part of the bigger picture of your life. If this statement is true, then it goes without saying, that you are living your life and fulfilling your purpose.
If you’re struggling with understanding what your purpose is, then perhaps the time is now for you to start to evaluate your life. By that I mean look at your life as if you were somebody standing outside looking in. What do you see? How do you feel? If you were to form an opinion, what would that opinion be? If you then had to answer the question what is your purpose, or are you living your life purpose, looking from the outside in, what would your answer now be?
I have no doubt, but you just taking yourself outside of yourself, for a moment, every now and then, you will be affording yourself the opportunity to see your life and yourself in a different way. I guarantee you that the way you will be seeing yourself, is in a much more positive light. You will be seeing yourself as others see you, and not as you see yourself. Know that we as human beings, we are always very hard on ourselves. We very seldom give ourselves the benefit of the doubt. We very seldom admit to ourselves that there will be times where we will make choices that will not be beneficial to our lives. We constantly speak to ourselves with a little voice that bangs on, sometimes nonstop, pointing out to ourselves what we’ve done wrong, how bad we are at living this life, how little we are succeeding in living out our purpose, and essentially just how useless we are as human beings.
So in seeking out how to live your purpose, start with seeing yourself differently. Start to understand that this world would be different without you here. Know that you come to live a life, whatever life that is that you have chosen, along with another soul group. That soul group is your tribe They are the people, who have committed and contracted to you, to come and live through this physical experience with you.
Of course that doesn’t mean that, in understanding that you are living your life purpose, everything is 100% OK. There are no changes that you need to make in your life, to make it better, I guess what I’m trying to say is that in understanding that you are living your life’s purpose, it doesn’t mean that you become complacent, that you just accept that this is how it is meant to be, and you have no power to make it different. Of course if there are things about your life that you are not happy with, you can make those changes. And we are expected as human beings to be making changes in our lives all the time. That is how we evolve, that is how we grow, and that is how we develop ourselves on a spiritual level, on a soul level.
But bringing about change in your life, does not negate the fact that you are living your purpose, that you are fulfilling your purpose. There are two very different things.
My message to you today, is this: stop the little voice inside your head that consistently berates you for everything. Stop the little voice inside your head that consistently tells you that you are not good enough. Stop the little voice inside your head that always makes you feel small. Understand that the little voice inside your head, is not you. Know that you can tell that little voice that what that little voice is giving you is not beneficial to you and your life, and you can ask that little voice to change the narrative. It really is about becoming consciously aware of the fact that you are living in this moment right now as it is happening. What happened ten minutes ago, what happened an hour ago, what happened three days ago, is already in the past. And focusing on what has happened in the past, is not beneficial to you. Focusing on the present moment, in taking absolute control of the present moment, means that you will be living your life, in total control of everything that happens to you and around you. Is that not how you would like to be living your life?
