Your “present, future, and parallel self” are concepts of personal identity and the relationship you have with different versions of yourself over time, where your present self is who you are now, your future self is the person you aspire to be or the person you will be, and your parallel self can be understood through psychological concepts of interconnected experiences and perceptions of time, rather than as a separate being in another dimension.
Reflecting on your present self involves understanding your current state, your strengths, and areas for growth. By clearly visualising and connecting with your future self, you can make choices in the present that will benefit that future version of you.
In a psychological sense, the concept of parallel selves can be understood as the ongoing connection and similarities between your past, present, and future selves. The more you perceive your past and future as close to your present, the more you see a continuous self across these different temporal points.
