The world has come to a place where people are questioning their purpose. Why am I here? What am I supposed to be doing with my life?
Particularly post-covid, this intense and deep exploration of self has come to the fore. And for many, the answers are not clear. Somehow it feels like knowing what your purpose is, knowing who you are, is some kind of way out there mystical unknown. And because of this, the thought of beginning this journey of exploration, is so overwhelming, that it becomes something we’ll rather not do. Something to be avoided for fear of either messing up, or finding an answer that again, will overwhelm to the extent that it feels unattainable.
There is a thought-process that says, if our challenge is so immense, so insurmountable, how is it possible that there could be a simple answer to overcoming this challenge. If it feels so incredibly difficult to find who you are, to know yourself in a way that resonates deeply and passionately within you, then how is it possible that there is a simple way to find these answers.
As a society we have become human-doings – we are no longer human-beings. We no longer allow ourselves to just be. We spend our lives doing. We feel that if we are busy – busy forging a career, busy looking after our families, busy taking care of our children, busy going to the gym, busy making sure we’re out and about, meeting people, running here and there and everywhere – then we’re living a productive life. But, ask yourself this question: How fulfilling is this life?
Everything that we create is about life on one level or another, for life is creativity itself. Why is it then, that although we know this to be true, we still don’t have a clear understanding of life, of ourselves? Each and every one of us has been given life so that we may experience peace, love, joy, good health and prosperity in abundance. Again, why is it then that we find this so difficult to achieve?
We are and will always be one with the Light for we are energy, consciousness and awareness, guided by intelligence and our own inner truth. Our experience in the physical world is not a means to an end, it is a facet of the journey to perfection. If we endeavour to be fully aware of each moment, we are able to know the depth of our true being, through letting the light of joy and compassion embrace and envelope our new existence within its warmth. We need to make a conscious decision to choose to experience this earthly existence guided by our higher selves, placing emphasis on that which is pure and whole – for this is how we will experience abundance and everlasting happiness.
Silence within enables knowledge, clear thinking, insight, enlightenment and ultimately the whole truth we are seeking. When we dwell within the silence we experience how we are one with the whole of cosmic consciousness. Be still and know that the I Am consciousness dwells deep within each one of us – know that you are pure perfection and armed with that knowledge, the only limitations you experience are those of your own creation.
As the mind moves away from the connections and chaos of everyday life, towards the silence within, our senses utilize higher mental and spiritual faculties, able to provide a more direct perception of the universal knowledge base of illuminations, intuitions and revelations. By moving deeper within this silence of our consciousness, away from our feelings, emotions, judgments and prejudices, we enter into a realm of pure rational thought where integral knowledge and understanding are abundant.
