Love contains everything you ever need to know – Kryon
There are many references to oneness and unity in spiritual teaching today. For some of us it comes as a faraway possibility, unreachable, perhaps even woo-woo, so I thought it might be helpful to take a look at how duality started and how we can remedy it. I would so love not to intellectualise but to be simple and understandable so we can move towards Oneness. It is after all, one of the attributes necessary for entry into the 5th Dimension.
The origins of duality go back to Atlantis over 12,000 years ago when the malevolent forces started their agenda to divide and rule. The idea of a superior class was conceived, a group who had special rights due to their blood and descent. As I write this, like many people, this concept was alive and well in my upbringing. The words ‘breeding’ and ‘class’ were often used. The hierarchical idea that certain people are better than others runs deep. It is the cause of much injustice and suffering.
Atlantis brought forth the idea that Earth is to be controlled. Do you know that Catholic teaching states the Earth is there for man to use in whatever way he sees fit? These are just a couple of examples which have resulted in the alienation from nature. Is it not uplifting to see deep and loving bonds growing for the Earth and all living things? It still confuses me though that people love their pets dearly but still eat meat, an industry in which there is much abuse.
We are slowly crawling out of a hierarchical and dualistic spirituality: God and the devil, heaven and hell, right and wrong, also the condemnation of sensuality and sexuality. We know that when we resist or deny something, it always leads to duality, to a psychological tension between the inner and outer expressions. I was recently with a righteous soul preparing for an imminent passing. It was painful to experience the rigidity of dualistic beliefs around heaven and hell bringing much apprehension. The God of Oneness, of love, was not a living reality for this dear being.
Beloved ones, what are we healing? The severe consequences of this duality: suppression of our creativity, sexuality, dealing with deep feelings of guilt, self-doubt and shame. Am I speaking to the converted? I know many of you have done much healing and are truly able to claim your divinity, not outside yourself but as divine authority within. I feel my eyes prickling with tears as I write this. Do you realise how enormous these steps are to have moved from the pernicious duality towards oneness? And we have done it despite persecution, being burnt at the stake and tortured.
We are moving to Christ Consciousness which is unity consciousness. It is recognising the same divine origin present in all living things. It involves unconditional love for everything – and that really means everything. It is all encompassing. It is acknowledging the incredible richness of the outer world and the recognition of the inner divinity, it is the belief in the equality of all people. Recognising the divine in everything is the true unity consciousness.
The secret of this consciousness is that it is not just something of the now, it is the loving consciousness that flows into past and present, bringing healing. There is space in our hearts because we have transcended inner duality and recognise everything longs for love. It is through this the Light is spread.
Reflections – On Releasing Duality
Please take time to go inwards and consider these 3 steps which, when healed, take you into unity consciousness.
- Letting go victim thinking, which suggests there is a perpetrator. The perpetrator is the duality within you. Embrace it lovingly. Feel the Light in everything. Feel what unity means. For instance, are you a victim of your government’s actions and decisions? Do you criticise and blame big corporations, the church, your parents, the school system? The list is endless.
- Let go any sense of superiority, even thinking you know how to do things for others. We cannot tell what another’s soul journey is and what they have set up for their learning. They can ask for advice if they need it. Until you are in oneness you cannot understand the choices and the path of another. This sense of superiority also manifests in thinking you are right, you have the answers, trying to control people (family?) or situations to push them in the direction you feel is the right one. Your intentions may be good but the consequences are dire!
- Transend your Inner Duality. We do the dance of right/wrong, good/bad within us. Look with love and understanding at your inner critic, the part of you that doubts or is not OK, gets angry and judgemental. Learn to embrace it with deep compassion, knowing that it has been your teacher but it is now time to move to oneness and let it go.
Our way is not to go to war against the exterior systems, but to remove their ‘breeding ground’ by loving and integrating the perpetrator in ourselves. This leads to the consciousness of the Christ.
