I regularly get queries from people asking me if I know what has happened to them. For the most part, these people have felt something strange around them or seen something strange around them. It’s only natural that they would be looking for some kind of explanation as to whether or not what they saw or felt was true, or just their imagination.
So how do you know whether or not you’re just making something up? From my experience, and I’ve said this many times, we are all psychic / clairvoyant / clairsentient / clairaudient, whatever you want to call it. We all come from spirit and we will all return to spirit. We also all have loved ones in the spirit world and here on earth. When our loved ones pass, the bonds of love are never broken. So it stands to reason that our loved ones will pop into our lives from time to time – a visit from the spirit world, if you will. They love to still be around us and especially when we are going through difficulties, perhaps something that they would have been able to help us with whilst they were on the earth. Also, we all have guides and whether or not we are aware of them, they are with us. They do inspire us every day and they try very hard to connect with us.
This means that when you feel that little breeze coming from nowhere, when you feel that slight brush on your hand, or you smell that familiar perfume, aftershave or that wonderful smell of freshly baked bread… and you have no explanation as to where it could be coming from, know that it is not your imagination, it is your loved ones coming through to show you they are around.
When a thought pops into your head, something that jars you into awareness or you think to yourself, where on earth did that thought come from, why am I suddenly thinking of this? Know that those thoughts are your guides inspiring your mind, getting your attention to pass a message to you.
Very often, the first thing that people think when they feel or see something out of the ordinary, is that it must be bad, it must be evil, it must be the universe trying to tell them that something bad is going to happen. I have to tell you that each and every one of us as humans, are hardwired to protect ourselves from danger. It is in our natural-born DNA to be on alert when the unfamiliar occurs, when something happens that we don’t understand or we have no explanation for. That is not to say that we are right – remember that there’s a 50% chance either way.
My advice is to always question. Don’t be afraid to stop and ask and by that I mean, pose the question in your mind, or telepathically, with your intent being to speak to whoever it is in spirit trying to make contact with you. There’s absolutely no need to be afraid. Spirit cannot harm you – you are the one who is always in control. You have the ability to cut the connection in an instant, the minute you feel uncomfortable. I would say that at least you owe it to yourself to set your own mind at rest and see if you can connect and get your own answers. Again, don’t think it’s your imagination when you get an answer. Why would you get an answer in your head to your question that would not be coming from spirit?
I know I make it sound so simple, perhaps because I’ve been doing this for so long. But seriously, it really is as simple as I try to make it sound. When you have an incident, something happen that kind of hits you out of left field, one that we would call a paranormal experience, then know that that is exactly what it is. And I can guarantee you that 9 times out of 10, it will be something positive, something good. 9 times out of 10, it will be your guides trying to connect to you to help you with things that you’re dealing with in your life, or it will be your mom, dad, husband, brother… in spirit, just popping in to say Hi. Please don’t ignore them.
