It would be wise for us to remember that when we think a new thought, entertain a new dream, or mentally choose a new goal, we are invoking the creative energy that resides within each one of us. Doing this with a great attitude will ensure that when our thoughts leave us and go out in every direction, to the farthest corners of the planet, what will return to us, will only be positive. Our thoughts and dreams carry a life force all their own, like ripples created when a pebble is tossed into a pond, and their sole object is to reappear back into your life as things and experiences.
If you had to draw an infographic of your life, would there be many twists and turns? Would your road run smoothly down one straight line or would you have bends, curves, corners and backtracking. Would you struggle to depict your life accurately and pictorially because there are too many ups and downs, highs and lows? Too many to portray in just one infographic? At what point would you start and would you be selective in what you decide to place on paper for others to see?
Building relationships is all about transparency. It’s about not being afraid to show everyone who you are in spite of the fact that you fear their rejection.
Now translate to your work life and I refer here mostly to Spiritual Practitioners. What would that infographic look like? As a spiritual practitioner you are a business owner, ‘self-employed’. Your infographic would more than likely start out with a work life depicting many different jobs with many different companies. And whilst this might seem like a negative to some, this is what brought you to your ‘self-employed’ stage of your life. It is through this journey that you have accumulated all your knowledge, your skills and your life experience. And it is what has set you up to be able to be ‘self-employed’.
Being self-employed should mean self-empowerment but how many of us who have stepped out of the world of corporate rat-racing, actually feel self-empowered? If you do not feel self-empowered how can you possibly expect your business to grow and to generate a substantial income for you?
