When you take excellent care of yourself, everybody benefits. I read this message on facebook this morning and thought it really inspiring.
I have many people who come to see me when they are at their wits end, when life is just becoming so much to bear that they feel that they just cannot go on. I have no doubt that at some point in time, we’ve all felt like that and at the time, it is so real and so all-consuming that you cannot see anything else around you. You feel as if you just can’t see any way out and it’s almost as if the road has come to an end.
Sometimes that is exactly what has happened and I’ll tell you why. The process and the journey of life is so interesting. We come together at various points in our life and we serve each other. That is to say that what we do is of benefit to others and what others do for us is of benefit to us. Don’t you wish it was just that simple?!
There are times when that balance is thrown completely out and we find ourselves in situations where we just have takers around us and so we feel that we are in service all the time but that nothing is reciprocal. And it’s at this point where we start to feel trapped and the less we receive from others, the more we feel like we have nothing to give. Having nothing to give is an awful space to be. It’s so unbeneficial to ourselves and of course it’s not beneficial to those around us.
We have to understand that we are the most important person in our lives. It’s not about being selfish. It’s about putting yourself and your wellbeing first. Because you have to feed your soul. You have to feel like you have a reason to get up in the morning and you have to feel that you are making a difference. Making a difference in your life as well as a difference in your outer surroundings.
When you don’t have this feeling of excitement that ignites you every day, your zest for your life starts to wane and you eventually find yourself not caring for yourself in any way. Naturally this is going to have a ripple effect and the people around us will feel it too. This of course, starts off a cycle that is so difficult to break and we eventually find ourselves not being able to see the wood from the trees.
Taking excellent care of yourself so that everybody benefits is essential to your every day life. It means that starting now, you need to begin to break down the barriers that have pre-conditioned you into believing in false concepts that have been constructed by society. It means that you allow yourself the chocolate when you want it. It means that you sleep in every now and then. That you get in touch with people you care about and set up time to see them. Don’t be the one waiting for the phone to ring. Become proactive in your own life for your own benefit.
You don’t even have to worry or focus too much on being in service to others in the beginning. For just focusing on yourself will uplift your vibrations and you will immediate start to feel the difference when you achieve this. With your vibrations uplifted, you will notice that there is a difference in the way others react to you and in the way in which you are received by others. It will be more positive and then you will see that you have set yourself on an upward spiral of positive effect and everything in your life will feel sweeter and more fulfilling.
When you feel fulfilled, you immediately understand that you have something to give and that’s when you’re able to be completely of service to others and in turn be of service to yourself. Take the challenge today : start by smiling at yourself every time you see yourself in the mirror. Tell yourself that you worthy of love and that you are worthy of a great and fulfilling life.
Then, smile at everyone that you see. Make a conscious effort to make eye contact with them and smile. You will immediately see that they smile back. Talk nicely to everyone that you come into contact with and more importantly talk nicely to yourself. Believe in yourself and know that without a shadow of doubt that you are meant to have a wonderful happy, peaceful, calm and abundant life.
