“What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet.” This quote by Anne Frank caught my eye today and really made me stop what I was doing.
It is such a profound message of hope. Something to really consider, that even in the darkest of days, there is still the notion that some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet!
How sad is it that we spend so much energy focusing on the past. We focus on all the bleak and gloomy experiences we have had. We berate ourselves for having failed at our life. We have great difficulty in seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. We hold ourselves in a thought-process that is detrimental to our mental and physical well-being. Yet, we can’t help ourselves. Our life is seen as a constant struggle and because of this, we fail to see the wonder and beauty that makes up the majority of our life experiences.
Shifting our thoughts from A to Z is difficult. It’s hard to take yourself out of feeling down in the dumps. It’s really difficult to see that your life is truly is what you make it. It really is all about perception and I suppose even more than that, it’s about choice. Yes, you can choose to see your life differently. You can choose to live your life very differently to how you currently do.
It’s about owning your power. Owning your life. Taking full and total control of the choices that you make. It’s about owning the consequences of those choices too. It’s about embracing that wonderful thought that Anne Frank expressed, whilst in the deepest and darkest moments of her life, that some of the best days of our lives haven’t yet happened.
My mantra for this year is : “Wonderful possibilities lie ahead! And they begin with you!” I’m going to keep reminding everyone of this mantra as we journey together through 2024. It confirms Anne Franks thought so much as she inspires us all to look ahead and not behind. To see that the best is yet to come and that endless possibilities lie ahead – if we only embrace a positive outlook for ourselves. If we only see ourselves worthy of experiencing those endless possibilities. If we just take that first step to change our life – to bring into our lives that which we so deeply desire and are so unbelievably worthy of!
My prayer for you is that you find your way to a path that opens you up to a world of wonderful possibilities and that you continue to discover those best days as they come your way.
