Someone told me that love has a way of finding you, when you least expect it. I have to say I totally agree with him. Happiness also has a way of finding you, when you least expect it. And so I suppose that love and happiness go hand in hand. At least for the most part.
Love can be described by us all in so many different ways and each of us have our own special way of showing someone we love them. I’m sure you’ve all heard of the five love languages.

There is probably no better feeling than to feel loved. To really, deep down within your soul, feel that special connectedness to the very depths of another persons’ soul. In romantic love situations, that feeling initially is all consuming. It occupies every cell in your body. As the relationship grows and becomes more deeply connected that feeling of love changes. It becomes more a deep sense of knowing that there is a bond of love that will keep you connected and continue to evolve and strengthen even more, as time goes by.
Yes, that relationship requires of you that you put in the time to keep the embers ablaze and of course, it’s a no brainer, kind of commitment.
Sometimes people wait very long before they get to experience love, true and absolute unconditional devotion. From my experience, i have to say, the road could be long, but it’s always worth the journey. You know that saying, it’s better to have loved and lost, than to have not loved at all. I think we should all remember these words. Because, so often, we find love and some thing happens along the way. We get hurt and disappointed and we block ourselves off for fear of feeling hurt again.
That’s no way to live. Because the moment you decide to block yourself off, you block yourself from ever experiencing any kind of connection to another human being. And the sad truth is that from then on comma you will become bitter and resentful and you’ll find yourself becoming more and more isolated from people.
It’s not only romantic love that we need we need to know how unconditional love from friends and family feels. And we need to know what it feels like to reciprocate that love too. We find that unconditional love when we have children. What parent wouldn’t lay down their life for their children? That’s a love so pure and so deep, it defies words to describe. I believe that as our children become adults, that love becomes the same for them and they would, in a heartbeat, lay down their lives for us.
Think about grandchildren, for those who are privileged enough to have them. That love is another level, so deep, so pure, so intense and filled with emotion, again no words can describe. These little souls who have chosen us, are so unbelievably special and they teach us how to love, and new, once again, yet different.
My wish for you today is that you get to experience love in each and every corner of your being. That you get to live a life connected deeply and strongly to your family, your partners and your friends. A life of feeling like you belong and that having you around, makes a difference in their lives.
