When you look at the people around you and see how we all treat each other, how does that make you feel? Are you confident that we all show each other respect at every turn and that we have total regard for each other ‘s feelings? If it’s not possible for you to answer yes with absolute confidence then we have a problem.
And that problem is that we all still see each other as separate from each other, so much so, that we can’t bring ourselves to look outside of ourselves and understand that everyone has a story. Every single one of us is trying hard to make a living and at the same time make our lives something that we can be proud of. However in doing so, we get totally wrapped up in our own little worlds and forget that there is a much bigger picture and that, in fact we are all connected to each other through the Great I Am.
Because of this, we should be trying that much harder to show each other respect and consideration as the first step in bringing us closer to each other and in turn, closer to our creator. Understanding that we are in fact all the same and yet unique all at the same time, is also key to getting it – to arriving at that light bulb moment and knowing that we are all in the end, trying to achieve the same thing.
Remember that our perceptions create our reality and that what we pay attention to, we become conscious of. And what we focus our conscious awareness on is vital to ensuring that our lives are conducted in a spiritual manner with only love, compassion, acceptance and complete non judgment.
Put yourself in the shoes of the other person every opportunity you get. Forget that your world is all that matters to you. Try to understand the other person’s perspective from their point of reference and not yours. You will be surprised at how liberating that realization can be, when you finally understand that it’s not all about you.
Live your life every day treating people as you would want to be treated. Believe that you can make a difference and live your life as if you already are and the most amazing changes will come about in your life, bringing you everything that your heart desires without any negative effects on those around you, in fact the positive change can only affect those around you in a positive way.
Life for everyone right now is really so difficult. Everyone is struggling to push that giant rock up the hill. We’re all struggling to prevent it from rolling back down again. But man, it just does! And so for a lot of us, every day feels like we’re starting all over again. That can be so difficult to cope with, because you never get to feel like you’ve arrived. And so any achievements become so difficult to recognise.
However, we can overcome this feeling of Groundhog Day. My advice to you is to sit in quiet reflection at the end of every day. Take a pen and notepad with you. Think about what you did that day. Write it down. Write down all the little things that you managed to do and complete that day. It could be as simple as watering the garden, or getting to watch your favorite TV show. What you’re doing, is training your brain to recognise that you are making small strides in your day. Not everything needs to be about achieving the goals that you set. Of course it’s important to set goals and to plot the course for achieving them. But, if on the occasional day, you don’t do something towards achieving your goals, don’t let that become a stumbling block for you. Don’t let that become so big in your mind that you convince yourself that you’re not capable of achieving your goals and so you may as well just give up. Just let go of that rock and let it roll all the way back down the mountain again.
I urge you today, to change the way you see your life and yourself. Understand that you’re not a failure. You’re not different to anyone else walking this path at this time. It’s OK not to be OK every now and then.
