We cannot pick flowers if we don’t walk in the garden.
I actually got the title for this article from my spirit guide, Oshvaria. And it comes from my readings, particularly when we are asked “when will I meet someone who will love me?”. When will I meet someone who will marry me?” This is always her answer and it really does make sense when you think about it. No-one is going to just come knocking at your door. So, if you want to meet someone, you need to go to places where you will meet that person. You need to place yourself where that person is most likely to find you and you’re most likely to find them.

This goes for other things in your life too. If you want to become a train driver, then go hang out with people who work on trains. Apply for jobs that will take you into a space that relates to the railways. If you want to become a ballet dancer, go learn to do ballet. Hang out with ballerinas and audition for parts in a stage production.
Interestingly, this concept applies for your financial position too. It is said that your average income will be in direct relation to the average income of the five closest people that you interact with. Now that too is something to really think about. Essentially what this means is that if you want to be earning a decent income and have nice things, then you need to interact with those who already do.
Our environment plays a huge role in our lives. We see others and how they live their lives and we emulate them – consciously or subconsciously – we just do. It’s how we are wired. We are wired to fit in and boy, sometimes we find ourselves fitting in in the strangest of ways!
This isn’t a particularly long article. I just thought it’s an interesting concept – if you want to pick the rose, be in the garden. I’ve seen so many clients who just long for that one person who will come along and sweep them off their feet. But, they aren’t prepared to put in the work. They aren’t prepared to put in the effort and make the first move. But just think about it. People don’t know what you want just as you don’t know what others want. But when we start to act on what we want, when we start to communicate what we want, it’s so interesting how we get what we want. It’s really a very simple concept. What you put out is what you’ll get back. No matter what it is. No matter where you are or who you are. The laws of the universe are very clear and they apply to everyone, not just a select few.
Use the power of the creative energy of the universe, to bring about the life you want. Remember that you are in control of your own destiny. Only you can imagine what that final destiny looks like which is why only you can bring about that final destiny too.
As you step out of your front door today, set aside all those fears of not living the life you want. Walk tall, safe in the knowledge that you’ve got this. You can do it. You have the power to do whatever you want. And that should excite you beyond expression!
