North vs South - Crown and Base

I am South African, 1st generation, with my folks both coming from EU. I myself have spent many a year never fully present in my birth land, always holding onto my EU passport (for safety’s sake), knowing I have another land that I’m privileged enough to have easy access to through my parentage. Within myself has sat the perpetual marriage or partnership and reflection between the base chakra and the crown chakra. As first and 7^th chakras, they reflect and support each other.

Ironically, it took lockdown in SA to finally accept my South African-ness. A year plus down the line, and still in lockdown status, with 2 teen daughters that also have EU passports, I realise I’m where I am and I don’t want to leave. A surprising truth to reach considering just recently 2 provinces in my country were knee deep in rioting and planned destabilising forces that caused harm, death, damage and disregard for South Africa’s people.

As I’ve been taught, the United Kingdom (Crown jewels, still run by the Monarchy/Crown etc) is Gaia’s Crown Chakra. South Africa, at the base of the world so to speak, is Gaia’s Base Chakra. The constant focus on the Crown/N Hemisphere in world news, and overall humanity, is reflective of the crown chakra in its low vibration expression of being ungrounded, in perpetual thought and connection to ego. Or it is the constant focus on a spiritual higher self and desire to rather be living in the heavens and higher vibrations, all the while forgetting that even within an elevated vibration and spiritual expression, the soul is Earth bound in response-ability currently and ought to be using unity consciousness to partner their spirit and earth selves.

So much of the world lives in the head/mind (N Hemisphere reflection) forgetting to walk bare foot upon the Earth, to ground not just the physical body but the spiritual vibration of who they are onto the Earth plane. Getting into our body, while being on Mother Earth’s body is a sure-footed way in commanding our health and wellness. However, it doesn’t surprise me that eyes fall to the North before they fall to the South because it is only now that people and the world are being pushed to face themselves.

Up until now (and still, for the majority) facing your base side of self has not been first choice! Addressing the shadow side of self is just not fun, especially not for the ego! Taking responsibility and grounding ourselves safely upon the Earth has been thwarted by a general lack of trust in self and world due to many layers of abhorrent traumas that have taken place the world over. It also means hard work and requires a commitment to self that means everything in our individual worlds, begins and ends with ourselves.

Whilst the crown loves gold (for the crown of course), and the alchemical magic appeals to the spirit within us, really doing the BASE work to facilitate that alchemy for the purpose of unity and a more conscious, ascended expression, is a little less appealing to souls. So the reflection is that the South/base, isn’t seen or faced. In fact, it, like an inner child needing attention, the base within us is also asking to be seen, be heard, be taken up in loving arms of support for the gems and jewels that are within us, and be held securely and with a grounded safety that leaves each individual trusting their life expression. Instead, Africa and S Africa’s gems and resources are raped and pillaged from the Earth, without honouring the needs of these lands and its people.

As I myself ground and accept myself more, in my homeland, my place of birth, and accept I am exactly where I need to be, I begin to request and hope for, more and more, of individuals and the world as a whole, that they face, claim and accept all parts of themselves too, coming home to themselves through personal alchemy. This so that everyone can experience the internal knowingness of self sufficiency, self security, self care that is our individual sovereign right on the back of being Divine beings of Light. As we create the new world from a place where the unity and reflection between crown and base chakras is a fully grounded, high vibration spirit connection that expresses on Earth, we create a new, humanitarian-strong Earth which will make us all proud to call Earth our home.
