The focus of this retreat is on exploring the alchemy of transformation catalyzed in the crucible of awareness through mindfulness, insight and compassion – in meditation and in daily life – using the Buddha’s teachings as a guide. We will explore the various dimensions and applications of mindfulness, contemplations promoting insight, and the emergence of the four transcending states of being: compassion, loving-kindness, appreciation and equanimity – focusing particularly on compassion and equanimity.
This is a 5-day mediation retreat and will be held in noble silence. There will be periods of group sitting meditation, walking meditation, short meditative dialogues and chi kung movement.
