Navigating the Spirit Realm

Just as the earth is a complex world, made up of various life-forms, so is the Spirit Realm. We are all familiar with the phrase as above, so below. Here on the earth, we have different forms of life that vibrate at various levels. We are all energy made up from atoms, or tiny particles of protons, neutrons, and electrons. We are all electrically charged variants of life, human, animal, insect and mineral. Because the majority have the privilege of sight, it is easy for us to navigate this earth. And by navigate I mean, the obvious – find our way around – but also, understand the many complexities that is us – the occupants of the earth.

In the Spirit Realm, the very same energy exists – so many variants of electrically charged energy. The difference is that the vibration of this electrically charged energy is such that it does not take on a solid form as we do on the earth. Thus, all Spirit Beings are light. So exactly what is light? When I don’t quite know how to explain something, I often turn to our good old faithful google – and here is the description of what light is : Light, or Visible Light, commonly refers to electromagnetic radiation that can be detected by the human eye. … Light can also be described in terms of a stream of photons, massless packets of energy, each travelling with wavelike properties at the speed of light. Now, take that description and increase it many many fold, and you will see that the light vibrating energies that is the Spirit Realm is just too subtle or too finely-tuned for us to see with the naked eye. And so it is that we need to go within, connecting to our Self often referred to as our Higher Self, and through that aspect of our soul, which by the way, vibrates at the same rate as that of the Spirit Realm, and use that part of ourselves to connect into the Spirit Realm.

It all sounds very complicated but in fact it isn’t. The one mistake that a lot of people make when trying to understand the Spirit Realm, is that it is so intricate and so mystical that only people who have been given a special gift, have the ability to tap into it. The fact is that we all are Spirit Beings and the Spirit Realm is our home. We all come from the Spirit Realm, so why would it be that only some people, specially selected by someone, somewhere, somehow, can connect and navigate that realm? It would be the same as saying that everyone born in Italy can speak Italian but only a few can understand Italian. It just doesn’t make sense.

Of course many of us choose to come into a lifetime unable to connect or communicate with the Spirit Realm. And so it is that we have to make a conscious choice to relearn how to do it. And then of course, when we re-form the conscious connection into the Spirit Realm, how do we find our way around it. What is it that we should be looking for and how do we get to see it? I have to mention here that whether or not you can consciously connect to and communicate with the Spirit Realm, we do all unconsciously connect and communicate. So when you are sleeping, your soul goes walkabout, because the mind is at rest and the body is at rest and everything around you has become quiet and relaxed to the extent that it’s almost as if the soul feels safe to wander off a little. And so in your wandering off, you go back to the Spirit Realm, you visit with your loved ones who have gone before you and you visit with your Spirit Guide. How often have you woken up in the morning having experienced a wonderful almost life-like dream of being with your mother in heaven, or your grandmother in heaven? Or you awake in the morning and have a solution to a problem you’ve been trying tackle or an answer to a question you’ve been struggling to get to grips with? From my own personal perspective this happens to me all the time.

I have this little book, entitled Letters from Christopher. It was written and published some time after 1943 – interestingly there is no date of publication printed in the book. Christopher was born on August 3^rd 1925 and died at sea in April 1943 (he was 18 years old). The book is a compilation of letters that were received by Christopher’s mother in automatic writing, during the first two years of his new life in the Spirit Realm. A very brief background on Christopher is this : In June 1940 his parents decided to send him to America along with their youngest son David. The book doesn’t say where he was born or from where he sailed. The boys were sent to the care of their mother’s cousin Theodore, or as he was called by the boys “Uncle Toby”, who died unexpectedly in 1942. After uncle Toby’s death Christopher went to live with a family in Portland Oregon and his brother, David to another family. This was to be a temporary measure whilst they awaited passages home to be obtained for them. Eventually in March 1943 Christopher was given a ‘priority’ passage as he was nearing military age. He sailed from New York on about March 25^th, 1943. The only official information received after his setting off for home was on May 15^th, 1943 and that was to say that his ship was ‘greatly’ overdue and must be presumed lost by enemy action. No survivors had been traced.

June 3^rd, 1943

“Yes, I am here, Mummy darling. I am being instructed in my new life. I was afraid of death but I was glad when it was over, and I had to be in a place of quiet for a long time till I lost my fears – I am longing to be with you again and Dad and to be at home. It is funny to be like this, not able to make you hear when I speak to you, and all my plans of going into Dad’s regiment are upset, but I suppose they will let me help a bit even here. I have guides who are helping me to find my way about. It is all very confusing at first, because you see I never thought of coming into this funny sort of life …. I thought if I died I should be floating about in the clouds somewhere, but I am in quite a solid sort of life only you can’t see it yet, but quite real. I will tell you more about it next time, but they say I must go now. I don’t know who my guides are but they are very nice to me and help me all the time. Goodnight Mum, from Chris.”

This was given to his mom very shortly after his passing – he was in the Spirit Realm for about a month at this time.

This next section was given to her on June 13^th – just a few days later and one can see how Christopher has already acclimatized to his new environment and at this point is already learning how to use his Spirit Energy and how to navigate the Spirit Realm.

“I am guiding your hand by a force you send out which is part of this life, so I can hold it and make your hand work as I want it to, but it isn’t quite like my own writing because you are guiding the hand too. I am getting very interested in the life here, it is all so much more natural than I ever thought it would be, and very full of life and things to do. Mums, you are so happy at having me with you. You aren’t stopping me, but I left off to kiss you, mums my own. I went to see David yesterday. I can go over there and back to you in very little time as you count it, because I can travel by desire, which is sort of super speedway, much quicker than air travelling even. I find this all very wonderful and had no idea the mind was powerful. I am being taught much about mind and its powers which are so little used in earth life. Mind is the maker of all things. God is Mind, and we are bits of Him with self-will so that we can become separate beings. All this is very wonderful to me to realise. I am learning to play an instrument of music which will take the place of my flute I loved. It is much finer sound than air-borne waves and you can’t hear it any more than my voice now, but it is lovely. I wish you could hear how lovely it sounds in the harmony of sound over here. It has a range of sound beyond anything you can understand….. I must not stay too long or you will be tired my guides say so, so long Mums from your son Chris.”

I would love to give you so much more from the book, it’s so interesting. But what I wanted to demonstrate to you, kind of straight from the horse’s mouth is how Christopher describes the ease with which he can get around. He says that it’s just through the power of his mind that he’s able to transport himself anywhere. My guide has explained to me that everything works on waves of light, so that the Spirit Being can imagine or think themselves in a place and immediately they are transported there on a ray or beam of light. Isn’t that just magical?

Now when we understand that we are able to make contact with the Spirit Realm and actually experience moving consciously around the Spirit Realm, whilst still in the dense vibration of the human physical existence, it makes sense that we would want to learn how we can navigate the realms of Spirit. We see through confirmation from Christopher that we have guides and that they are there to show us around – just one of the purposes that they serve. So they help us in Spirit and they help us whilst in the physical. I hope that you can see that making friends or just making contact with your Spirit Guide whilst you here, means that firstly the connection prior to your passing has already been made and when you do pass, you will recognize them and not feel quite as confused as Christopher said he did. And then secondly, you will already have had the advantage of having a conscious memory of the Spirit Realm, rather than having to almost become the student again when you return back to the world of Spirit.
