With yet another Christmas and festive season upon us, the craziness of life just seems to jump up and hit you in the face. People rushing everywhere, impatient with each other. Too many news broadcasts of people being killed in unnecessary road rage incidents. Black Friday, sales, mayhem!
What is it that happens to us at the end of the year? It feels like people suddenly start to feel like there’s so much to do before the year ends. So much to get through and somehow poor planning on their behalf becomes a stress and urgent eventuality in someone else’s life! Certainly the heat wave in Gauteng and around South Africa, also adds to the stress that people feel.
A message today from my guide is to tell everyone to slow down. Rushing through everything in our lives just is not necessary. We are all only able to do so much and then when it becomes too much, we start to make mistakes and practice poor judgement. And those mistakes and poor judgements lead to accidents and trauma and problems that could have been avoided.
There is no need for us to be rushing through our lives. We have time. However, what seems to be the main problem, is that people fail to plan. For the most part, people seem to move from one day into the next and that applies to their personal lives as well as the business aspect of their lives. There is no thought process that goes into much of what people do and the result is that it impacts negatively on them as well as others with whom they come into contact.
Slowing our lives down is easy. Connecting with your guides daily is easy. It just takes a little discipline in the beginning and changing the way that you handle your life. It takes becoming concerned for yourself and where you are going and more importantly how you intend getting there. It takes becoming concerned for others in your life and understanding how the decisions that you make, impact others. For every action that we take, there is a consequence.
Let your life be inspired by your guide every day. Allow yourself time in the morning to sit in meditation and make the connection. You don’t even have to see who your guide is, you don’t even have to know who your guide is. As long as the intention is there and you make the conscious effort to look for how they inspire you, you will get better at it every day and soon it will become part of your conscious life. And that’s the point you want to get to, where you can feel that spirit is around you in a beautiful and positive way and know that they will always be there to help you in everything that you do.
Your life will become so much more relaxed. You will feel so much more confident in yourself and you will find yourself make better choices every day. Choices that affect you in a positive way and that have positive consequences.
When you find yourself in a situation where you feel like you’re out of control, take the time to sit and reflect on that situation and see why it is that you have become out of control. In more instances than any of us are prepared to admit, you will find that in essence, it’s not as bad as you feel, it’s not as urgent or stressful as you made it out to be. Create some order in your mind in terms of understanding what you’re facing and formulate a plan to work through it. And know that you do have time. The only time limit that is set on anything is the one that we give to ourselves.
Be clear and concise in your communication. Expressing how you feel and what your expectations are, can cut down huge amounts of time in terms of the other person having to guess their way and figure out what you want from them. How we complicate our lives?!
As you move through this December, make a conscious choice to slow your life down. It’s okay to make your lists, but make sure that they are doable and that the time limits that you set are reasonable and achievable. Don’t feel bad about carrying things forward to next year. When the sun sets on the 31st December 2019, it will rise again on the 1st January 2020. Of that you can be assured!
