In the many years that I have consciously been on my spiritual path, I have been so fortunate to meet some incredibly amazing people – people who when faced with adversity have proven stronger than I ever imagined possible and people who have chosen such a difficult path but manage to smile through it all.
I have also come to learn that my perception of everything is created from my point of reference and through that, I have been privileged to work to understand myself and others and there’s a sense of peace that I have, in knowing that we are all so different yet we’re all so the same. There is no need for competition, no need for judgement, and no need for condemnation.
My beautiful guides Kevin and Oshvaria keep asking me to reaffirm to everyone, that if we do just one thing and that is, practise unconditional love at all times, then we will all find peace. It’s not to say that we should not allow ourselves to be emotional, for we are all emotional beings. The secret is in allowing ourselves to feel emotion without attachment. That is to say, get upset, feel angry, but then let it go. It’s far better to work through the emotion and come out on the other side, feeling once again, peaceful and calm. For to attach to our emotions does not serve us in any way.
In a recent meditation class, we asked the guides to talk to us about expectations. Here their message was clear – open, honest and direct communication is key. It is disrespectful for anyone to place any expectations on someone without allowing them to know what that expectation is. For when that expectation is not met, it cannot be said that the person let you down, you cannot become upset with that person or feel anger or resentment. And the beauty here is that when you communicate expectations, there will never be feelings of disappointment, resentment, anger etc.
The message to everyone is to work really hard to understand yourself and what your true purpose is. To understand that when I say we’re all different yet all the same, I mean that we have all chosen a different path, we are all on a different level in our spiritual evolution, but in essence, we all seek the same thing. And we can only get to know what that is, when we understand ourselves and accept ourselves fully.
