I have been teaching people to connect to their spirit guides for many years. Every time my student makes that connection, sees their spirit guide or hears their spirit guide, is such an amazing AHA moment. And I get to experience those AHA moments with them! Such a privilege.
But it’s not only the moments that we make a connection to something that resides outside of ourselves and as exciting as our spirit guides, that we experience AHA moments. In my coaching, again, I am so honoured to be a part of those AHA moments that my clients have. It’s always such a special moment and when it happens, somehow you never forget it.
The best way for us to learn anything is through finding out ourselves. My students would love me to tell them who their spirit guide is. And of course I can. But… I don’t – ever. The reason I don’t is because I want them to experience that one very special and intimate moment, of making the connection themselves. It somehow just makes the connection that much stronger. And because they are experiencing it themselves without anyone telling them, it is so much more real to them.
Again, in terms of my life coaching, when my clients are talking through their challenges, being gently guided by me, when they make that connection to the actual problem, seeing it differently and getting an understanding of that particular challenge or problem, the realization that they can fix it, is so much more reinforcing than if I just tell them what the problem is and how it can be fixed.
We need those AHA moments and no-one should ever take them from us or deny us those moments. Neither should we deny ourselves those moments. It’s actually just a lazy way out to get someone else to do what you should do yourself and then expect them to give you the answer. Somehow when that answer is given to you, it feels like just the opinion of another person and you will never take it and put it into practise yourself. But when you make that discovery yourself, your whole mind shifts and you begin to make the changes in your life that you have been trying so hard to do.
It feels like there’s a message here today for everyone and it is… Do the work yourself, the reward will be so much greater!
