I was recently asked if it’s possible to make contact with a soul who is waiting to be born into a family. I was rather surprised that my mind went completely blank! Prior to my grandchildren being born, they had all shown up to introduce themselves to me, but I have never been asked to try to contact a soul before they come to the earth either to say hello or welcome them to the family. I have always considered my encounters with my grandchildren’s souls a very personal interaction and thought that perhaps I was just lucky because of my connection to Spirit.
However, as always, when I don’t know something, I turn to my spirit guide and wait for her input. I found it so fascinating that I was inspired to write an article and share this with everyone.
Prior to taking on another physical existence, we, as the spirit being, need to feel that the time is right for us to be able to continue on our spiritual journey back on the earth. In consultation with our spirit guides and the various Lords of Karma as well as our Soul Families, a decision is reached as to when we will be born into the physical. It is also a joint decision as to when that will be as well as to the finer details of choice of parents, siblings, family, close friends. Included in those discussions would be where on the earth we would incarnate and an important deciding factor as to location would be what status we would have on the earth. So say for instance we would choose to experience extreme poverty we would choose a country where that is most prevalent. On the other hand, to experience great wealth, we would choose a country like Dubai where this would be possible. Then of course, added to that would be nationality which would determine our tribe, our values etc that will all link into the overall concept of who we want to become.
Once the final decision has been made and the soul is ready to take on it’s next physical life, preparation has to take place. Just as when we leave the physical body and return to the spirit world and we are taken into a place of healing, so prior to coming to the earth, the soul gets taken into a place of preparation. Think of it as a train station or airport where you would go to sit and wait for your transportation to your next destination.
During this time, so whilst in the place of preparation, the soul is introduced to it’s new physical body. There is no cast in stone set time when this will happen for the first time. So it’s unclear as to whether this is at the time of conception or at a later date. What I’ve been shown is that the first ‘visit’ to the physical body happens when the heart of the fetus begins to beat. That is when the formal union of soul and physical take place. However, even though this union has been made ‘official’, the soul does not reside with the fetus throughout the full term of pregnancy. It does make contact from time over the space of gestation, but still remains in residence with the place of preparation in the Spirit Realm. The final cementing of the union takes place within the last few weeks of pregnancy and is completed at the time of the first breath of the physical body (the baby).
Within the place of preparation, the soul still has the choice as to whether or not this union will take them into a new physical life. So in other words, there is still the opportunity to back out and decide that the time does not sit comfortably with them. For me, this explains why some miscarriages happen. It also explains why babies are still-born with no explanation as to why this would be the case. Interestingly, so much care is taken by the guides, to ensure that the soul is comfortable with it’s choice, that it is given the option to back out of the contract right up to the time of the baby’s fontanel closing – so somewhere around 18 to 24 months. For me, this explains why cot deaths happen – another phenomenon that appears to have no explanation at all.
So to get back to the original question which was, is it possible to make contact with a soul prior to it’s being born, through a reading, the answer is no. And whilst it is possible for that soul to show up and introduce itself to you, they are protected within the place of preparation and you cannot initiate the contact. How interesting is that?!
