When we are most fearful of what is happening around us we tend to pump the breaks on our lives. We let our lives come to a grinding halt for fear of moving forward. We block ourselves, cutting ourselves from any external or internal inspiration. Our lives become such that we feel like the hamster ever treading the wheel around and around. It is at times like these that we feel that we are not being given direction, we aren’t being helped to move forward. We don’t know ourselves what the next step is and so we stay where we are.
In a great deal of my readings, I find people asking why they can’t feel any guidance. Why is it that they feel so blocked off and just don’t know what they should be doing with their lives. A great deal is expected from the guides to give them the answers they’re looking for. And yes, that’s why we have our guides, so that they can inspire us and they can advise and help us along our life’s journey. Our spirit guides are after all, emissaries of God. The inspiration and wisdom that they get to give to us comes to us from our Creator. And so we have to ask ourselves the question : How can God direct our steps when we aren’t taking any?
You see, we have to be in control of our own lives. I’ve said this so many times, I feel like an old lady who just repeats herself all the time. But it is so true. So when we are too fearful to move forward, then how is it possible for us to get any direction from the Universal Consciousness. If we aren’t taking the steps to improve our lives, how is it that we think that we can just sit back and everything will fall into our laps. It just doesn’t work like that. I always remember my mother saying “God helps those who help themselves”, and this so true. Because when you take over the steering wheel of your own life, you will have the guidance that you need. And of course, there is often times when it’s not what you hoped it will be – the turnout I mean. But that’s also okay, because when that happens, you need to do a kind of post mortem of the experience and see actually what it is that was actually being shown to you at the time.
Out of every and I do mean every experience, there is something for us to take away in a positive way. In every experience that we have and particularly those that challenge us, there is a lesson within that experience. Again, some of those lessons are difficult, some of them come with huge trauma and a feeling of being hit upside the head. But when you can see that there was something great within that awful experience, then you know that you have grown. Then you know too that you are being directed by God our Creator and that is so comforting.
If it is that you can’t feel the direction that you are asking for, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Sometimes a good reading is all you need. Sometimes those readings connect you back to your loved ones in the spirit realm who come to let you know that you are not forgotten, that you are loved more than you’ll ever know. Sometimes the connection is to your own spirit guides and they come with tremendous tenderness and absolute unconditional love.
