For each one of us, our life is a journey of self discovery. Practising conscious awareness is key to self-awareness for how often do we do things on auto-pilot and react in the very same way to things that people do and say, no matter what the situation is. Now is the time to get to know yourself.
It is imperative that we all live in the present moment, constantly aware of what our thoughts are, constantly aware of our emotions. And when we do, we will be so much more aware of how many times we react and act in the same way. Einstein said something along the lines of consistently doing things the same way and expecting a different outcome is total madness. And he was absolutely right!
If you want to bring about change in your life whatever that change might be, then you need to change yourself first and in order to change yourself, you need to be consciously aware of yourself.
So, spend time in quiet contemplation at least 2 or 3 times a week. Take at least 10 minutes out of your day and think about your life, your current situation, your relationships with your family, friends and colleagues. Above all, be honest with yourself. If you have been acting in the same way and expecting a different outcome, then change the way you act. On the flip side, if you’ve done something that deserves self-praise then do that too.
Too often we focus on the negative and not on the positive because it’s so much easier to be negative – what a scary thought! Try to find at least one thing positive in your day every day. Live you life as you would want it to be and know that you will be using the all creative energy that comes from universal consciousness to create a beautiful positive you and a beauiful positive life for yourself.
