Are you a glass half full or a glass half empty person? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself this question? I think we can all agree that there are those of us who when we encounter problems in our life, at least initially, we feel like the bottom has fallen out and we are completely lost as to what to do to resolve that problem. Then there are those of us who are just able to remain positive even when we are faced with problems that crop up in our daily lives.
The best way to deal with any problem is to own it or at least own your part of that problem. When we get all our facts together, we are able to see things from a very different perspective than when we allow ourselves to be influenced by our perceptions. So, yes perception is reality, for sure!
When looking at a problem that has been brought into your space, always try to see it as an opportunity to change something about yourself that allows you to become your best self. It’s about adapting and evolving every day. It’s about taking ownership of the part that you play in your life. Allowing your life to be governed by outside influence all the time, does not allow you to actually experience your life in a way that allows you to explore choices, to make decisions, to make mistakes, and to have a do over in order to not make those mistakes any more. Playing the victim keeps us in that state of mind and certainly doesn’t give us the opportunity to be our best self. Playing the victim completely releases us from taking responsibility for our lives – remember that.
My advice to everyone is to always strive to be your best self. It’s really about being completely honest with yourself and recognizing that if you were perfect, you wouldn’t be living on the earth right now. It’s really that simple. So recognizing that we have flaws is the first step in the right direction. Taking any problem that you face and analysing what your responsibility is in that particular problem. Break the problem down and see what it is that you can do to solve it.
Generally the problems that we face are relationship related. These are the problems that keep us up at night or keep those conversations going over and over in our heads. So then taking that problem and owning your part in it, changing that part of yourself that has contributed to the problem, leads you to becoming your best self.
For the most part, the problems that we face, aren’t generated outside of ourselves. And it is all about being able to recognize that when they are, how much control do we actually have over that particular problem. Even as we find ourselves in lock down, where most of us have had our income dry up, there is still an opportunity for us to find our best selves. It’s really interesting for me to see how much strength we find within ourselves when we are faced with problems that really challenge us. We tend to forget that we all have the ability to use the all powerful creative energy of the Great I Am to create our lives. Remember that when we say I Am, we are invoking the power of that energy into our statements. So when you say, I am unable to solve this problem, that is exactly what will happen. There are always two sides to the coin, everything has it’s duality. Any problem that we face therefore has the ability to present to us our worst and our best sides. Striving to always be your best self, is what we all should be doing.
Just a gentle reminder that I am doing email readings only whilst we’re in lockdown. Should you wish to make a booking, please contact me [email protected] or call or whatsapp 082 570 6473. All I require from you is a recent photo and a couple of questions that you’d like to focus on.
