Much discussion about life in general takes place every day within the groups that we interact and operate in. A lot of us question how we should be living our lives in order for us to grow on a spiritual level. We spend our lives worrying about whether or not we are actually going to learn the lesson in this life time, whatever that lesson might be. We hear so many people say “I really hope that I’ve got it right, because I don’t want to come back and do it again.” This is what Oshvaria (my beautiful personal protector and guide) has to say : We don’t have to push ourselves to ‘get through everything’ in this lifetime because we do get many chances over and over again. And when we think about coming back to a physical life, we shouldn’t see it as a punishment, but rather as another wonderful opportunity for us to continue to develop as a spiritual being.
For what we mustn’t forget is that we are spiritual beings working on perfecting ourselves as spiritual beings. At no point in time are we in actual fact anything else. So, even when we are on the earth, we are still very much spirit. And we go back to spirit every night when we sleep and every time we meditate and every time that we make any form of personal communication with our guides and spirit helpers. We need to understand that each one of us is living our lives in parallel. And it’s not our physical lives, but rather our spiritual lives. This means that we are given every opportunity to grow to perfection as a spiritual being and when we come to the earth to work on overcoming something specific, we are still able to perfect or overcome other aspects of our spiritual self that we perhaps didn’t quite get right in another lifetime.
Understanding that we are spirit and we only ever will be spirit, should make it much easier for us to understand that there will be times when we will fail and there will be times when we question ourselves and feel disappointment. There will be times when we will feel as if we have let ourselves down and when we feel that our path is difficult and challenging and overwhelming. Whether or not we get it right in this lifetime is not the be all and end all of it all. Know too that there will be also be times when we feel elation and success and accomplishment. There will be times when we feel on top of the world and there will be times when we are exposed to the most wonderful experiences filled with love and acceptance, respect and recognition. And these are the times where we get it that we are blessed and guided and inspired by a higher consciousness and we need to savour those moments. Take them in and feel good about what we have achieved and that we are capable of both giving and receiving love.
We see so many people who we believe are just wasting their life away. But are they really? It could just be that they have given themselves a bit of a reprieve and that’s not a bad thing. Perhaps they are the ones who get it more than we do, that the need to rush to get through all experiences in one earthly lifetime is just not necessary.
Let’s start today to not be so hard on ourselves and to never think of ourselves as human or anything other than spirit. Know that we are absolutely beautiful and more deserving of love, attention, acknowledgement, validation, wealth, understanding, compassion, respect and honour, than we will ever know. And through this all, the wings of the Great I Am spread over us all and we are showered in His great unconditional love and understanding at all times.
When you look at the people around you and see how we all treat each other, how does that make you feel? Are you confident that we all show each other respect at every turn and that we have total regard for each other’s feelings? If it’s not possible for you to answer yes with absolute confidence, then we have a problem.
And that problem is that we all still see each other as separate from each other, so much so, that we can’t bring ourselves to look outside of ourselves and understand that everyone has a story. Every single one of us is trying hard to make a living and at the same time to make our lives something that we can be proud of. However, in doing so, we get totally wrapped up in our own little worlds and forget that there is a much bigger picture and that, in fact we are all connected to each other through the Great I Am.
Surely because of this, we should be trying much harder? Showing each other respect and consideration is the first step in bringing us closer to each other and in turn, closer to our Creator. Understanding that we are in fact all the same and yet unique all at the same time, is also key to getting it – to arriving at that lightbulb moment and knowing that we are all, in the end, trying to achieve the same thing.
Remember that our perceptions create our reality and that what we pay attention to, we become conscious of. And what we focus our conscious awareness on, is vital to ensuring that our lives are conducted in a spiritual manner with only love, compassion, acceptance and complete non-judgement.
Put yourself in the shoes of the other person every opportunity you get. Forget that your world is all that matters to you. Try to understand the other person’s perspective from their point of reference and not yours. You will be surprised at how liberating that realisaton can be, when you finally understand that it’s not all about you.
Live your life every day treating people as you would want to be treated. Believe that you can make a difference and live your life as if you already are and the most amazing changes will come about in your life, bringing you everything that your heart desires without any negative effects on those around you – in fact the positive change can only affect those around you in a positive way.
